Step 1: Preparation of the dough

First, preheat your oven to 160°, take out the utensils and ingredients and wash your hands.

Then mix the dry ingredients together (flour, spices, sugar and yeast).

Add the butter to the dry mixture so that the texture is sandy.

Now add the egg and honey and shape the dough into a ball.

Step 2: Cooking

Is the dough ready? Then grab your rolling pin and roll it out on your baking sheet, don’t forget to put your baking paper down before rolling out the dough.

Use your cookie cutter in the shape of a man to define the cookies.

Bake the cookies for 7 minutes, you can stop baking when they are golden brown.

Step 3: The glaze

Preparing the glaze, turns out to be much easier than expected. Simply add powdered sugar to the egg white, mixing a little at a time. When you get a white paste and consistent, it means that it is done.

For more color, you can add food coloring, if necessary.

Put the glaze in your piping bag and draw the eyes, smile and buttons on the man. If it’s difficult to do this with the piping, you can use a toothpick.

Step 4: Bon appétit!

And that’s it! It’s ready, all you have to do is enjoy these gingerbread men with your children in front of a Christmas movie! Enjoy your meal!
